“The thing I love most about my generation — and something that rarely gets recognized — is that we’re fucking hustlers. We make it work. We get that money. We’re innovative and resourceful. The odds may be stacked against us and yet we still find a way to triumph.”— Ryan O'Connell, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, twenty-somethings, Success, Hard Work
“The great thing about being in your 20s is that you have absolutely nothing to lose. The worst that can happen is a rejection letter, which you can stash and use as motivation to keep working hard.”— Kali Borovic, huffingtonpost.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, rejection letter, motivation, Hard Work
“The only relationship that you need to work on in your 20s is the one with yourself. Before anyone can love you for who you are, you need to love yourself. Whether it’s dinner or a movie by yourself or just a long bubble bath, don’t forget to take some me-time every now and then. Because eventually…”— Kali Borovic, huffingtonpost.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, Twenty-Something, selfish years
“Our 20s are our selfish years. A time where we can take time to ourselves without feeling like we’re letting anyone down. We’re old enough to finally buy our own liquor but young enough to still ask our parents for money when we’re too broke to afford it. It may suck to constantly be broke, not have…”— Kali Borovic, huffingtonpost.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, selfish years
“Your 20’s are your ‘selfish’ years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time, and all the aspects of you. Tinker with shit, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.”— Kyoko Escamillia, goodreads.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, travel, Explore, Growing Up
“Surviving your 20s is sometimes nothing more glamorous than just holding on for dear life on the back of an inner tube like a kid being whipped around by a speedboat…And your only choice of survival is to just let go.”— Paul Angone, amazon.comTagged: Twenties, 20s, Survival, Growing Up
“Success in your twenties is more about setting the table than enjoying the feast.”— Paul Angone, amazon.comTagged: Twenties, 20s, Success
“We’ve all experienced the frustration of our 20s going nothing as planned, so why do we still feel like we’re the only ones who are struggling? This lie that we’re all alone in our struggle is a powerful magnifier of depression, anxiety, and confusion in our 20s. It’s vital we blow this ugly lie up.…”— Paul Angone, amazon.comTagged: 20s, Alone, Twenties, Life, Growing Up

“Your 20s are hard. Going through a big transition, trying to get a job while figuring out what you’re truly passionate about, losing friends and making them, paying off student loans and still trying to afford the experiences that supposedly make your 20s ‘the best time of your life’ — it’s hard. Co…”— Hannah Cranston, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: Twenties, 20s, Twenty-Something, Crisis, comparing yourself
“As I venture into this period of my life, sometimes I feel sad; I feel scared or anxious, elated or crazy. Sometimes, I feel all of these emotions at once. But I don’t feel in crisis or afflicted. Because being in your 20s doesn’t have to mean you’re either in ‘the best time of your life’ or in a qu…”— Hannah Cranston, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: Twenties, 20s, Twenty-Something, Growing Up, Anxious
“We’re in our 20s. It’s okay to be single. It’s okay to be engaged. It’s okay to black out on occasion and throw up in your dresser drawers (oh it’s not? sorry). LIVE FOR YOURSELF. Figure out what you want. Find out who you really are. Don’t force anything or make choices based on what other people a…”— Samantha Matt, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, Twenty-Something, Growing Up, Partying
“26 shows up in the middle of coffee one morning and hands you a freshly printed memo that reads: ‘You’re going to get old one day and die. You’re cool for now, but it will happen. You’re officially on notice. You won’t be young forever.’ And then 26 struts out of your office, like an unconcerned dic…”— Jessica Blankenship, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, 20-something, realization, Life
“Be really attractive. Your acne is gone, your face has matured without having wrinkles and everything on your body is lifted naturally. Eat bagels seven days a week, binge-drink and do drugs: you’ll still look like a babe. When you turn thirty, it’ll become a different story but that’s, like, not fo…”— Ryan O'Connell, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, 20-something, Growing Up
“Start your twenties with a lot of friends and leave with a few good ones. What happened? People faded away into their careers and relationships. Fights were had and never resolved. Shit happens.”— Ryan O'Connell, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, Twenty-Something, 20-something
“20-somethings have the tendency to imagine that their 20s are the last chance they’re going to have to experiment, explore, and party. This is a false premise. Restaurants and cafes continue to let people over 29 through their doors. They even serve them alcohol.”— Holden Desalles, thoughtcatalog.comTagged: 20s, Twenties, Alcohol, Growing Up
“I think your 20s are the hardest part of life. I mean, everyone goes on about how hard it is to be a teenager, but actually I think it’s tougher to be in your 20s because you’re expected to be a grownup and expected to earn your own living and be successful and I think you feel like a kid still.”— Nigel Cole, bbc.co.ukTagged: 20s, Twenties, Growing Up
