Joel Zwick

Joel Zwick (born January 11, 1942) is an American film director, television director, and theater director. He is best known for his work on the television series Perfect Strangers, Full House, and Family Matters, and as well as for directing the films My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Second Sight, and Fat Albert. 2Biography Born in Brooklyn, New York, to a Jewish family, his father a Cantor from an orthodox background, and having his Bar Mitzva at an orthodox Synagogue, Zwick was educated at James Madison High School in 1958. He went on to graduate from Brooklyn College where he currently teaches in the School of Film. He directed twenty-one pilots, all of which went on to have successful runs as weekly television series. Zwick is married to Dr. Candice Zwick, a psychologist, spiritual therapist and film director, and he has a daughter named Hillary.
