Kimrie Lewis

Kimrie Denise Lewis (born March 16, 1982) is an American actress, comedian, and writer. She is best known for her recurring role as reporter Ashley Davidson on Scandal. She currently stars on the ABC comedy Single Parents (TV series), playing single mom Poppy Banks. 2Early life and education Kimrie Lewis was born in Los Angeles, the daughter of Carol, a news executive producer, and William, a news sound engineer and cameraman. She was raised in South Los Angeles. Her mother's family is of African American origin. Her father's ancestry includes African American and Native American.
