There are dogmas in science that are held to as if they were religions and people who say things that are against those dogmas are cast out just as viciously as they are from any other subculture. We've got to get beyond that, we've got to get to the point where the outriders, where the eccentrics, where the people who come up with the really wacky ideas that turn out to be the ideas of the future are allowed into the establishment, and are incorporated much more quickly than they've been incorporated in the past.”
