“Some days, survival is going to be hard and people are still going to look at you in the way you hate, with eyes narrowed in judgment, words like quicksand drawing you deeper and deeper into self-doubt, self-hatred when they tell you in how many ways you are not beautiful. On those days, look people in the eye and say ‘I do not know how to be your version of beautiful, but I do now how to be every version of strong, I am a survivor and no one can ever take that away from me.’”
