“You stop and think about it, we are in the biggest information explosion I think in the history of the world. It's just in this generation that when you and I were growing up, there wasn't even a word for Internet or World Wide Web, for example. We had three TV channels. We were watching either Lucy or ‘Gunsmoke’ or Ricky Nelson. And now there's 500 TV channels. The Internet is just bringing all kinds of information into the home. There's just a lot of distraction, a lot of competition for the parent's voice to resonate in the children's ears.”
