Pragmatic issue with leftist ideology... Individualism is the key to collectivism... Demands for collectivism that negate individual experience as the key building block of collectivism are hollow and lacking humanity; to plead for community you must recognize what makes you different from every other person on the planet while still seeing a common thread. You must see individualism as the building block of a collective world, not as a threat. All roads lead to end of the world, because once you know who you are, you start on a journey with others (roads are symbolic of connection), and the further you go on that journey, the more your world ends, and something larger than yourself emerges. Let it emerge.
