Appeal to people's perceived selves. In other words, encourage them in what they seem interested in. For example, if somebody identifies with fitness, praise their abs, say that they are in a good shape. Stroke their ego. It is very important to be genuine. If somebody is not in shape, don’t lie. That’s not charisma; that’s people pleasing. So rule number one – be honest. Find something you can truly appreciate in that person.
