Aida Turturro (Ah-ee-da Toor-toor-ro; born September 25, 1962) is an American actress best known for playing Janice Soprano, sister of New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano, on the HBO TV series The Sopranos (1999–2007). 2Personal life Aida Turturro was born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of a Sicilian mother, Dorothy, a homemaker, and an Italian-American father, Domenick Turturro, an artist.
