Brian J. Smith

Brian J. Smith (born October 12, 1981) is an American actor, known for his role as Trey in the 2005 independent film Hate Crime, as series regular Lt. Matthew Scott in the military science fiction television series Stargate Universe, and as Will Gorski in the Netflix-produced series Sense8. 2Early life and education Smith is a native of Allen, Texas. He studied at the Quad C Theatre program at Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas. After he studied one year at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. Smith then moved to New York City to attend the Juilliard School Drama Division's four-year acting program (Group 36: 2003–2007), where one of his classmates was Nicole Beharie.
