Cameron Crowe
Cameron Bruce Crowe (born July 13, 1957) is an American director, producer, screenwriter, journalist, author, and actor. Before moving into the film industry, Crowe was a contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine, for which he still frequently writes. Crowe's debut screenwriting effort, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, grew out of a book he wrote while posing for one year undercover as a student at Clairemont High School in San Diego, California. Later, he wrote and directed one more high school saga, Say Anything, and then Singles, a story of Seattle twentysomethings that was woven together by a soundtrack centering on that city's burgeoning grunge music scene. Crowe landed his biggest hit, though, with Jerry Maguire. After this, he was given a green light to go ahead with a pet project, the autobiographical effort Almost Famous. Centering on a teenage music journalist on tour with an up-and-coming band, it gave insight to his life as a 15-year-old writer for Rolling Stone. For his screenplay, he won an Academy Award. Also in late 1999, Crowe's second book was published, a question and answer session with the film director Billy Wilder entitled Conversations with Wilder. 2Early life Cameron Crowe was born in Palm Springs, Californi
Don't you know that when you sleep with someone, your body makes a promise whether you do or not.
I want to live a real life... I don't want to dream any longer.
The little things... there's nothing bigger, is there?
There are no guarantees, but remember: Even in the future, the sweet is never as sweet without the sour.
It's been a brilliant journey of self-awakening. And now you've simply got to ask yourself this: What is happiness to you, David?
My dreams are a cruel joke. They taunt me. Even in my dreams I'm an idiot... who knows he's about to wake up to reality. If I could only avoid sleep. But I can't. I try to tell myself what to dream. I try to dream that I am flying. Something free. It never works...
You can do whatever you want with your life, but one day you'll know what love truly is. It's the sour and the sweet. And I know sour, which allows me to appreciate the sweet.
You will never know the exquisite pain of the guy who goes home alone.
Just remember, the sweet is never as sweet without the sour, and I know the sour.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.
You were missed, David. It was Sofia who never fully recovered. It was she who some how knew you best... and like you, she never forgot that one night where true love seemed possible.
I think she's the saddest girl to ever hold a martini.
I'll tell you in another life, when we are both cats.
The little things... There's nothing bigger, is there?
Rod Tidwell: It's something very personal, a very important thing. Hell! It's a family motto. Are you ready Jerry? I wanna make sure you're ready, brother. Here it is: Show me the money. Show! Me! The! Money! Jerry, it is such a pleasure to say that! Say it with me one time, Jerry. Jerry Maguire:…
First class, that's what's wrong. It used to be a better meal, now it's a better life.
I love him! I love him for the man he wants to be. And I love him for the man he almost is.
I couldn't escape the simple thought that I hated myself, no thats not it, I hated my place in the world.
