D'Arcy Carden

D'Arcy Carden (née Darcy Erokan, born January 4, 1980) is an American actress and comedian who currently co-stars as Janet on the NBC sitcom The Good Place. She previously was a member of the improvisational sketch comedy group, the Upright Citizens Brigade. 2Early life Darcy Erokan was born in Danville, California. Her father, Dennis Erokan, acted in local community theater and co-founded a music magazine called BAM. She has two sisters and one brother. Darcy added an apostrophe to the spelling of her name when she was in junior high to emulate The Smashing Pumpkins member D'arcy Wretzky. In 1998, she graduated from San Ramon Valley High School and attended Southern Oregon University where she majored in Theater. 2Career After graduating from college, she moved to New York City, where a friend invited her to an improvisational sketch comedy show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB). Erokan enjoyed the show so much, she signed on for classes and kept progressing with the group. She started with UCB in 2004 and later toured with the UCB Touring company.
