Jeffrey Ross Toobin (born May 21, 1960) is an American lawyer, blogger, author and pundit, and legal analyst for CNN and The New Yorker. During the Iran-Contra affair, he served as an associate counsel in the Department of Justice, and moved from law into writing during the 1990s. He has written several books, including one on the O.J. Simpson murder case. It was adapted as a series, The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and aired in 2016 as the first season of FX American Crime Story.
