Mona Vanderwaal

Mona Vanderwaal is a fictional character and main antagonist in the Pretty Little Liars book series by Sara Shepard and its Freeform television series adaptation. In the TV series, she is portrayed by Janel Parrish. In 2019, Parrish will reprise her role as Mona in a sequel television series titled Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which is based on a trilogy written by Shepard. It is currently unknown whether or not it will be linked to the original series. Introduced as Hanna Marin's best friend, Mona initially harbors a grudge against the protagonists, using her intelligence and resources to torment them anonymously.
