Sally Wen Mao

Sally Wen Mao is a writer, poet, artist, and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. She is the author of Mad Honey Symposium (Alice James Books, 2014), which won the 2012 Kinereth Gensler Award. She received her B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and M.F.A. from Cornell University, where she taught in the English Department for three years. The recipient of fellowships and scholarships from Kundiman, Saltonstall Arts Colony, Bread Loaf Writers Conference, and 826 Valencia, she has work forthcoming or published in The Best American Poetry 2013, Black Warrior Review, Guernica, Gulf Coast, Kenyon Review Online, and Third Coast, among others.
