Brinke Stevens (born Charlene Elizabeth Brinkman; September 20, 1954) is an American actress, model and writer. 2Early life Stevens was born in San Diego and grew up in Crest, California. She is of German and Mongolian descent and her parents are Charles Brinkman II, an aircraft riveter, and Lorraine Brinkman.Stevens has studied several foreign languages, including Esperanto, and gained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from San Diego State University and a Master of Science in Marine Biology from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla, California. Initially intending to study dolphin communication, she was instead tossed out of Scripps for doing "forbidden research" on dolphin communication, largely to do with the Navy's use of dolphins in undersea weapons research at the time.In 1974, Stevens attended San Diego Comic Con and won first place in the first Masquerade Ball. She was part of running the masquerade at Comic Con for years after her win. Photographer Dan Golden saw a photograph of Stevens in the costume and then hired her for a non-speaking role in the student film Zyzak Is King (1980), and later photographed her for the cover of the first issue of Femme Fatales (1992).In 1980, Stevens married her college sweetheart Dave Stevens. They moved to Los Angeles where he worked as a storyboard artist on Raiders of the Lost Ark.
