“Make it personalized and relevant. Don't ping the whole team with the same email. Follow up regularly. Every email should get progressively shorter. I only talk about our product in the first email. Second is following up on first. Third is checking back. Fourth is asking if it would be better suited for someone else. Fifth, you should get creative. Studies show that most responses don't take place until 5th or 6th, if at all. This is how you keep the pipeline full. More emails, more meetings, more opportunities, more IOs. It's the forgotten, but most important part of our job IMO, and it's not glamorous. Not all about dinners at nice restaurants.”
