Connie: [shrieking at Michael] You killed my husband! You waited until our father died so nobody could stop you and you killed him! You killed him! You blamed him for Sonny, you always did, everybody did. But you never thought about me. You never gave a dam about me. What am I going to do now? Kay…

Francis Ford Coppola
Francis Ford Coppola (US pronunciation: /ˈkoʊpələ/; born April 7, 1939), also credited as Francis Coppola, is a semi-retired American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is considered to have been a central figure of the New Hollywood wave of filmmaking. After directing The Rain People (1969), he co-wrote the 1970 film Patton, earning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay along with co-writer Edmund H. North. His directorial prominence was cemented with the release in 1972 of The Godfather, a film which revolutionized movie-making in the gangster genre, earning praise from both critics and the public before winning three Academy Awards—including his second Oscar (Best Adapted Screenplay, with Mario Puzo), Best Picture, and his first nomination for Best Director. He followed with The Godfather Part II in 1974, which became the first sequel to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. Highly regarded by critics, it brought him three more Academy Awards: Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture, and made him the second director, after Billy Wilder, to be honored three times for the same film. The Conversation, which he directed, produced and wrote, was released that same year, winning the Palme d'Or at the 1974 Cannes Film Festival. He next directed 1979's Apocalypse Now. While notorious for its lengthy and strenuous production, the film was widely acclaimed for its vivid and stark depiction of the Vietnam War, winning the Palme d'Or at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival. Coppola is one of only eight filmmakers to win two Palme d'Or award
Sonny: Tom-anuch! Hey, a hundred button men on the street twenty-four hours a day. That Turk shows one hair on his ass, he's dead. Believe me. [to Michael, whose face is bruised] Hey Michael, c'mere. Let me look at you. You look beautiful, just beautiful, you're gorgeous. Hey, listen to this. The…
[to Michael] So, Barzini will move against you first. He'll set up a meeting with someone that you absolutely trust, guaranteeing your safety. And at that meeting, you'll be assassinated.
Michael: You have to answer for Santino, Carlo. You fingered Sonny for the Barzini people. Carlo Rizzi: Mike, you got it all wrong. Michael: Ah, that little farce you played with my sister. You think that would fool a Corleone? Carlo Rizzi: Mike, I'm innocent. I swear on the kids. Michael: Sit down.…
[Clemenza prepares Michael for his meeting with Sollozzo] Clemenza: [holding up a .22] It's as cold as they come, impossible to trace. So you don't have to worry about prints, Mike. I put a special tape on the trigger and the butt. Here, try it... [Michael takes the gun, but can't seem to fire it]…
[at midnight, Don Corleone walks into his office and finds Tom Hagen taking a drink] Don Corleone: Give me a drop. [Hagen hands the Don his glass of anisette] My wife is crying upstairs. [Tessio brings in Luca Brasi's bulletproof vest, delivered with a fish inside] Sonny: What the hell is this? Clemenza: It's a Sicilian message. It means Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes.
If anything in this life is certain, if history has taught us anything, it is that you can kill anyone.
I don't feel I have to wipe everybody out, Tom. Just my enemies.
Vincent Mancini: [Vincent has caught one of Zaza's hitmen and is talking to the other] Wait a minute, don't do anything, just watch. I'm going to show you something, just watch, OK? [shoots the one he is holding...killer releases Grace] All right, just relax. Now, tell me; who sent you? Hired…
I, uh, betrayed my wife. I betrayed myself. I've killed men, and I ordered men to be killed. No, it's useless. I killed... I ordered the death of my brother; he injured me. I killed my mother's son. I killed my father's son.
