John Cusack

John Paul Cusack (; born June 28, 1966) is an American actor, producer and screenwriter. He began acting on films during the 1980s. Cusack was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his performance in High Fidelity (2000). Other films include Grosse Pointe Blank (1997), Being John Malkovich (1999), Con Air (1997), 1408 (2007), 2012 (2009), Hot Tub Time Machine (2010), and The Raven (2012). 2Early life Cusack was born on June 28, 1966 at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood and grew up in Evanston, Illinois. He is Irish Catholic and fourth of five children. His mother, Ann Paula "Nancy" (née Carolan), is a former mathematics teacher and political activist.
