Lauren Jauregui

Lauren Michelle Jauregui Morgado (; born June 27, 1996) is a Cuban American singer, best known as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony. Jauregui has been featured on songs by Marian Hill and Halsey. 2Early life Jauregui was born on June 27, 1996 in Miami, Florida, U.S. to Michael Jauregui and Clara Morgado, who are both from Cuba. Her father is a plant manager, and her mother is a teacher, who moved to the United States from Cuba when Fidel Castro came to power. She has two younger siblings, a younger brother, Chris, and her younger sister, Taylor. Inspired at an early age, her musical influences include Journey, Paramore, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, and Lana Del Rey. She attended Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, an all-girls school in Miami, where she participated in extracurricular activities such as the school’s softball team and talent show. In 2012, at the age of 16, Jauregui auditioned as a solo artist for the second season of The X Factor US. 2Career In 2012, Jauregui auditioned for the second season of the American version of The X Factor in Greensboro, North Carolina with the song "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. Her performance was described as “perfect” by Antonio Reid, who considered Jauregui had a "husky, round, mature" voice at age 16. On the second round of bootcamp, she was put up against country group Sister C with the song "These Arms of Mine
