Padme: We used to come here for school retreat. We would swim to that island every day. I love the water. We used to lie out on the sand and let the sun dry us and try to guess the names of the birds singing. Anakin: I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not…

George Lucas
George Walton Lucas Jr. (born May 14, 1944) is an American filmmaker and entrepreneur. Lucas is best known as the creator of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, as well as the founder of Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic. He was the chairman and CEO of Lucasfilm, before selling it to The Walt Disney Company in 2012. Upon graduating from the University of Southern California in 1967, Lucas co-founded American Zoetrope with fellow filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. Lucas wrote and directed THX 1138 (1971), based on his earlier student short Electronic Labyrinth: THX 1138 4EB, which was a critical success but a financial failure. His next work as a writer-director was the film American Graffiti (1973), inspired by his teen years in early 1960s Modesto, California, and produced through the newly founded Lucasfilm. The film was critically and commercially successful, and received five Academy Award nominations including Best Picture. Lucas' next film, an epic space opera titled Star Wars (1977), went through a troubled production process; however, it was a surprise hit, becoming the highest-grossing film at the time, as well as a winner of six Academy Awards and a cultural phenomenon. Following the first Star Wars film, Lucas produced and co-wrote the following installments in the trilogy, The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983
What’s all this noise? A battle! There’s been some terrible mistake! I’m programmed for etiquette, not destruction!
Oh, my goodness! Shut me down! Machines making machines. How perverse!
I see you have constructed a new light saber. Your skills are complete. Indeed you are powerful as the Emperor has foreseen.
Darth Vader: Do they have a code clearance? Admiral Piett: It's an older code, sir, but it checks out. I was about to clear them.
And now, young Skywalker... you will die.
Luke: I will not fight you, father. Darth Vader: You are unwise to lower your defenses!
I'm rather embarrassed, General Solo, but it appears that you are to be the main course at a banquet in my honor.
Princess Leia: I... I can't tell you. Han Solo: Did you tell Luke? Is that who you could tell?
Well, short help is better than no help at all.
Remember, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware. Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Luke... Luke... do not... do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor or suffer your father's fate you will.…
3PO. You tell that slimy piece of worm-ridden filth, he'll get no such pleasure from us. [to Chewbacca] Right?
Luke: Never. I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You've failed, your highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me. The Emperor: [angry] So be it... Jedi!
[about to be cooked alive by the Ewoks] I have a really bad feeling about this.
Han Solo: Who are you? Princess Leia: Someone who loves you.
Luke: Master Yoda, you can't die. Yoda: Strong am I with the Force, but not that strong.
Luke Skywalker: I'll not leave you here. I've got to save you. Anakin Skywalker: You already have, Luke.
I’m rather embarrassed, General Solo, but it appears you are to be the main course at a banquet in my honor.
If I told you half the things I’ve heard about this Jabba the Hutt, you’d probably short circuit.
