James Bond
The James Bond series focuses on a fictional British Secret Service agent created in 1953 by writer Ian Fleming, who featured him in twelve novels and two short-story collections. Since Fleming's death in 1964, eight other authors have written authorised Bond novels or novelizations: Kingsley Amis, Christopher Wood, John Gardner, Raymond Benson, Sebastian Faulks, Jeffery Deaver, William Boyd and Anthony Horowitz. The latest novel is Trigger Mortis by Anthony Horowitz, published in September 2015. Additionally Charlie Higson wrote a series on a young James Bond, and Kate Westbrook wrote three novels based on the diaries of a recurring series character, Moneypenny. The character has also been adapted for television, radio, comic strip, video games and film. The films are the longest continually running film series of all time and have grossed over $7.040 billion in total, making it the fourth-highest-grossing film series to date, which started in 1962 with Dr. No, starring Sean Connery as Bond. As of 2018, there have been twenty-four films in the Eon Productions series. The most recent Bond film, Spectre (2015), stars Daniel Craig in his fourth portrayal of Bond; he is the sixth actor to play Bond in the Eon series. There have also been two independent productions of Bond films: Casino Royale (a 1967 spoof) and Never Say Never Again (a 1983 remake of an earlier Eon-produced film, Thunderball
Emilio Largo: You know much about guns, Mr. Bond? Bond: No, but I know a little about women.
Domino: So...what sharp little eyes you've got. Bond: Wait 'til you get to my teeth.
[after shooting Vargas with a spear gun] I think he got the point.
[placing Fiona's body in a chair after she is shot] Do you mind if my friend sits this one out? She's just dead.
It looks very difficult. [shooting from the hip, Bond shatters his clay pigeon] Why no, it isn't, is it?
Madame, I've, er, come to offer my...sincere condolences. [punches the 'widow' in the face]
Do you mind if my friend sits this one out? She's just dead.
James Bond: Do you have any commandos here? Tiger Tanaka: I have much, much better. Ninjas. Top-secret, Bond-san. This is my ninja training school.
[Choosing a masseuse] James Bond: Well, I'll just settle for this little old lady here. Tiger Tanaka: Good choice, she's very sexyful.
Tiger Tanaka: You know what it is about you that fascinates them, don't you? It's the hair on your chest. Japanese men all have beautiful bare skin. James Bond: Japanese proverb say, 'Bird never make nest in bare tree.'
[Coded message to headquarters] Little Nelly got a hot reception. Four big shots made improper advances toward her, but she defended her honor with great success.
[Bond is about to have his chest waxed so he can pass for Japanese] Why don't you just dye the parts that show?
Tiger Tanaka: It can save your life, this cigarette. James Bond: You sound like a commercial.
Blofeld: James Bond. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ernst Stavro Blofeld. They told me you were assassinated in Hong Kong. Bond: Yes, this is my second life. Blofeld: You only live twice, Mr. Bond.
[Bond is in a hot tub with Tiger Tanaka and four beautiful Japanese girls.] Tiger Tanaka: In Japan, men come first. Women come second. Bond: Really? I may just retire to here.
[about to make love to Helga Brandt] Oh, the things I do for England.
[Coded message to headquarters after being waylaid by attack helicopters] Little Nelly got a hot reception. Four big shots made improper advances toward her, but she defended her honor with great success.
