[said to K by a hologram advertising the virtual girl Joi, which K had bought] You look like a good Joe.
'K': [pointing at dog] Is it real? Rick Deckard: I don't know. Ask him.
Dr. Ana Stelline: [crying] Someone lived this, yeah. It happened. [pause] 'K': I know what's real. [pause] 'K': I know what's real. [pause] 'K': GOD! DAMN IT! [throws chair]
And blood-black nothingness began to spin... A system of cells interlinked within cells interlinked within cells interlinked within one stem...And dreadfully distinct against the dark, a tall white fountain played.
Rick Deckard: I had your job once. I was good at it. 'K': Things were simpler then. Rick Deckard: Why you makin' it complicated? 'K': Why don't you just answer the question? Rick Deckard: What question? 'K': I didn't figure you as one for bullshit. What's her name? Rick Deckard: Rachael. Her name…
Niander Wallace: Mere data makes a man. A and C and T and G. The alphabet of you. All from four symbols. I am only two: 1 and 0. 'K': Half as much but twice as elegant, sweetheart.
All the best memories are hers.
Mia: I hate jazz. Sebastian: What do you mean you hate jazz? Mia: It just means that when I listen to it, I don't like it.
Mia: Honestly, I wish I loved something else. I've tried so hard to want other things. I left school after two years to come here, my fourth manager just dropped me, and my last audition was for a teen soap pitched as Dangerous Minds meets The O.C. Should've been a lawyer. Sebastian: Cause the world…
Sebastian: Fuck them! Mia: [mildly amused] That's what you always say.
Mia: It's pretty strange that we keep running into each other. Sebastian: Maybe it means something. Mia: I doubt it. Sebastian: Yeah, I didn't think so.
Sebastian: So you're a barista? And I can see how you could then look down on me from all the way up there. Singer: Sebastian. Second set. Sebastian: He doesn't tell me what to do. Mia: He just told you what to do. Sebastian: I let him. [pause] What's your name? Mia: Mia. Sebastian: Mia. Guess I'll…
Sebastian: All right, I remember you. And I'll admit I was a little curt that night. Mia: ‘Curt?’ Sebastian: Okay, I was an asshole. I can admit that. But requesting ‘I Ran’ from a serious musician, it's just, it's too far. Mia: My Lord, did you just say ‘a serious musician?’ Sebastian: I don't…
